Pre-Dental Requirements

The majority of Dental schools require:

• Two semesters of general biology with lab, BIO1620 & BIO1630   
• Two semesters of general chemistry with lab, CHEM1600 & CHEM1620  
• Two semesters of organic chemistry with lab, CHEM2570 & CHEM2580 
• Two semesters of physics with lab, PHYS2550 & PHYS2590  

Some dental schools require additional courses, such as six credits of English. Additional upper-level biology courses, such as anatomy and physiology, microbiology and biochemistry are required by some. Typically one committee letter or three letters of reference (two academic, one professional) are required.
